Job Description

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit is seeking a Senior Sonographer to join their expert team at Royal North Shore Hospital. As a key member of the unit, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of fetal diagnostics and care.


Responsibilities
  • Perform medical imaging procedures to a high standard and ensure diagnostic images are made available to clinicians.
  • Provide high-quality medical imaging services, performing complex clinical procedures with a high degree of competency.
  • Maintain safety in the unit and stay current with advanced ultrasound practices.

This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining accurate records, evaluating and auditing work quality, and managing staff performance.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA registration as a Radiographer, MRPB of Australia, and a valid EPA Radiation Licence.
  • Postgraduate experience in medical ultrasound with accreditation as a Sonographer from the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in establishing clinical protocols, manuals, quality assurance, and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, lead change, and accept responsibility.
