About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Project Manager to lead our design and delivery teams in producing high-quality designs, documents, and reports for water infrastructure projects. As a key member of our Australian Water team, you will provide commercial and technical leadership to our teams across regions and nationally, ensuring delivery of GHD's major water infrastructure projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design teams in producing designs, documents, and reports for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, sewers, storages, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Partner with Project Managers on all major project functions, with a primary focus on managing the technical project teams.
  • Responsibility for the detailed planning and design to achieve the desired final result and client requirements.
  • Oversee the engineering schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager and design discipline leads.
  • Contribute to the coaching and mentoring of our junior water engineers.
  • Continue to build on GHD's local and national water project capability through the continued development of all staff and external recruitment when required.
  • Further build your technical leadership profile in regional and national water infrastructure major projects and programs.
Requirements
  • Appropriate Civil Engineering degree and qualifications.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of technical project design and water industry consulting experience.
  • Proven expertise in managing the design delivery across complex teams for large, multi-discipline water projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to deal with uncertainty, changing and multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and mentoring skills.
