As a detail-oriented and analytical professional, you have the opportunity to combine your passion for finance with your love of sports in this exciting role. We're seeking an ambitious accountant to join our fast-paced organisation with a dynamic team culture.

This role involves being part of a team that thrives on resilience, energy, and a never-beaten attitude. As an accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting our finance operations across payroll, compliance, reporting, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, BAS, FBT, and other compliance requirements.
  • Managing payroll processes, including reconciliations and statutory obligations.
  • Driving the month-end process - balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, fixed assets.
  • Supporting quarterly and annual reporting requirements to governing bodies.
  • Providing financial guidance to stakeholders across the business, ensuring best practice processes and controls.
  • Assisting with audits, statutory accounts, and ad-hoc finance projects that add value.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • An accounting degree and professional qualification (CA / CPA - completed or in progress).
  • 3-4 years' experience in a similar role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment or public practice.
  • Solid Excel and accounting system skills (Dynamics 365 and CRM experience desirable).
  • A problem-solver with a proactive, collaborative, and organised approach.
  • Someone who takes ownership, meets deadlines, and enjoys helping others succeed.
