Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a senior professional to lead our Modelling and Geospatial Team, playing a key role in developing and implementing Australia's climate mitigation policies.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing large multi-disciplinary teams and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and management of the custom-built Full Carbon Accounting Model (FullCAM).
  • Preparation and analysis of spatial datasets for inclusion in FullCAM.
  • Coordination with departmental ICT groups to ensure implementation and maintenance of core divisional systems.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in managing large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time and project management skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across departments and agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong understanding of geospatial activities or software development.
  • An understanding of Climate Change or Environmental Science would be advantageous.
