About the Role

The Assistant Manager reports directly to the Front Office Manager and is responsible for day-to-day operations across all departments, liaising closely with other department heads within the Hotel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of customer service, safety, and security for guests and staff at all times.
  • Liaise with department heads to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and room assignments.
  • Assist with training and development of staff members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role in the hotel industry.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including PMS systems (e.g., Opera or Fidelio).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate computer and Microsoft suite experience.
  • Availability to work days, nights, and weekends (flexible rosters).
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol competency card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Australian work rights.
