**Casual Hotel Receptionist - Join Our Close-Knit Team at The Vulcan Hotel**

**Do you enjoy helping people and making them feel welcome? Do you have experience working in a hotel or a passion for hospitality?** The Vulcan Hotel is looking for a **Casual Guest Service Agent** to join our close-knit team and be part of a warm, guest-focused environment.

**Location**: Ultimo, Sydney - just a short walk from Central Station
**Schedule**: Casual, rotating roster
**Availability required**: Minimum 2 days availability on weekday / weekend

**About the Role**

We're looking for someone with a friendly attitude who's willing to go the extra mile and enjoys variety in their workday. This hands-on role will see you supporting day-to-day front office operations and delivering genuine service to every guest.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Welcoming guests and handling check-in/check-out
- Making and managing reservations
- Processing payments and maintaining guest accounts
- Making and serving coffee
- Setting up and assisting in the Café and Bar
- Assisting with breakfast and general guest requests

**What We're Looking For**
- 1 year of experience as a Hotel Receptionist (in Australia or overseas)
- Experience in using hotel PMS such as Opera, Opera Cloud, MEWS
- Ideally familiar with online booking systems, EFTPOS, and basic cashiering
- A warm, professional manner and positive approach to guests
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Fluent in English with excellent communication
- RSA certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Well-presented, reliable, and a good team player

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $31.23 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
