About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Specialist - Asset Optimization to join our team at Energy Services in Port Kembla. As the successful applicant, you will work alongside a fantastic team and contribute to the growth of the company while developing your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage corrective and preventative maintenance tasks, develop and improve maintenance plans, and disseminate work instructions for maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and schedule safe resource maintenance execution using internal and external labor.
  • Coordinate the budget of maintenance tasks, including authorizing and processing work payments.
  • Review asset performance for maintenance equipment, comparing actual versus planned costs and conducting adequate spares cost management.
  • Evaluate team objectives and activities to ensure alignment with Ventia's expected outcomes and business goals.
  • Promote and model a quality culture and continuous improvement by actively pursuing changes that reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance quality and safety.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An Australian Recognised Trade Qualification - Mechanical.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent personnel management skills, including the ability to motivate others.
  • Supervisory experience in an industrial workplace, including responding to employee relations issues effectively.
  • Technical skills relevant to the field.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong maintenance experience.
  • Application and commitment to health, safety, and environment quality systems.
  • Ability to review and develop maintenance plans.
Desirable Skills

The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Proven experience in power station operations.
  • Hands-on experience with boilers and ancillary plant systems.
