Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team in North Queensland. The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to ensure compliance, efficiency, and excellent customer service across Intermodal and Specialised operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely completion of NHVAS compliance activities and reporting
  • Supporting DIFOT performance by managing appointment schedules, reviewing consignments, and liaising with ports and supervisors
  • Completing key end-of-day tasks, including return container bookings, urgent customer and driver queries, and email monitoring
  • Managing equipment maintenance schedules and defect repairs with urgency to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining customer portals to ensure accurate documentation and delivery schedules
  • Monitoring MDT compliance daily and escalating non-compliance issues as required
  • Providing relief support for Train Wire debriefs when needed
  • Partnering with the FCL Supervisor to ensure smooth and efficient freight operations
  • Liaising with customers to resolve queries, provide updates and ensure a positive service experience
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks and data entry to support daily freight operations

Requirements:

  • A strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Proven time management and prioritisation skills
  • Previous experience in freight, logistics, or administration is highly regarded
  • A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
