About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care for all residents.
The successful candidate will oversee care planning, assessments, and clinical governance processes, while leading, mentoring, and supporting the care team to deliver services aligned with quality standards.
This role offers the chance to combine leadership with oversight of quality and safety, contributing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance across residential facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support the care team to deliver safe, person-centred care
- Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and documentation
- Monitor incidents, clinical indicators, and infection control practices
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain audit readiness
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and legislation
- Engage residents, families, and representatives in the care process
- Contribute to optimal resource allocation through accurate classification
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- At least 5 years' clinical experience, including 1+ year in aged care
- Previous experience as a Care Manager, Care Coordinator, or senior nurse leader
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, compliance, and clinical governance
- A compassionate, resident-focused leadership style with excellent communication skills
- Postgraduate training in gerontology, leadership, or management (desired)
