About the Role

  1. Develop and implement strategies to advance cardiovascular research in South Australia through collaborative partnerships.
  2. Manage state-based research grants and oversee operations of the SA Cardiovascular Research Network.
  3. Build relationships with stakeholders, including researchers, institutions and government agencies.
  4. Lead planning and execution of key events like the Annual Cardiovascular Showcase and Emerging Leaders Symposium.
  5. Maintain strong communication channels and represent the Network at external meetings.
  6. Coordinate member onboarding and database management, ensuring accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Committee Support: Provide strategic support to the SA CVRN Executive Committee.
  • Grant Development: Develop, promote and administer Heart Foundation SA research grants for CVRN members.
  • Event Planning: Organize capacity-building workshops for researchers and lead key events.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Identify opportunities for collaboration and coordinate activities.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records of SA CVRN members.
  • Communications: Represent the Network at external meetings and support digital efforts.

  • Expertise in grant management and administration.
  • Experience in organizing research, capacity-building and networking events.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing and working with committees.
  • Strong collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
