Job Description

As a skilled Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mechanical services in the built environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-performance, efficient, and sustainable systems across commercial, healthcare, education, and retail projects.

  • Design and document mechanical services, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical ventilation, and other building services systems.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, builders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions.
  • Evaluate compliance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local authority requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, coordinate with contractors during construction, and contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline are essential. A minimum of 4 years' experience in mechanical engineering within the Australian Building Services industry is required, with demonstrated expertise in delivering projects from early concept design through to construction completion.

  • Expert knowledge of HVAC and mechanical services design, load calculations, energy efficiency principles, and an in-depth understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive approach to project delivery.
