About the Role:

  • Lead the implementation of strategic priorities for Catholic education in Australia, with a focus on faith formation and mission.
  • Contribute to national education policy development related to mission and faith formation.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with state and territory Catholic education commissions, government bodies, and other relevant organisations.
  • Promote a culture that reflects the teachings and values of the gospel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies supporting faith formation of school leaders, staff, students, and families.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes and goals.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of initiatives and programs.

Requirements:

  • A strong personal commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Tertiary qualifications in theology, teaching, and management, with a focus on Faith Formation and Religious Education (FFRE) in the Catholic education sector.
  • Extensive operational, leadership, and executive management experience within a systemic school system in a Catholic diocese or religious congregation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging clergy, religious, schools, families, government, and communities.
