Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join our team as a Senior Project Accountant/Cost Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major Lithium projects across Western Australia, providing accurate and timely financial reporting, cost control, and analysis.

About the Role
As a Senior Project Accountant/Cost Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of project finances, including cost control metrics, forecasting, variance analysis, and managing all aspects of project accounting. You will work closely with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting, and coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting.

Responsibilities
• Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, progress claim assistance, and generating project budget and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Analyze project financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Cost control and analysis of earned value/shortfall.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting.
• Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments.
• Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior management.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field.
• Preferable on-site experience in a large construction project or mining contractor.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
