Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning team and ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. They will also have experience in housekeeping or a related field and hold a valid police check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule.
  • Monitor and maintain cleaning standards in accordance with contractual and company requirements.
  • Supervise the daily cleaning and presentation of public areas, including common areas, bathrooms, lounges, reception, and corridors.
  • Ensure the team is fully conversant with health and safety obligations and adheres to policies.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support for team members to help them improve their skills and performance.
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software (an advantage).
  • A valid police check.
