Job Description

The role of Housekeeping Team Leader entails ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Housekeeping department, achieving high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces within the hotel.

This involves thorough inspections of designated rooms, corridors, lobbies, service areas, cupboards, fire exits, and staircases. The successful candidate will be punctual, efficient, and courteous in their interactions with guests and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities
  1. Inspect rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
  2. Organize staff room allocations and procedures to ensure efficient cleaning practices.
  3. Be familiar with housekeeping procedures and adhere to them when issuing or returning keys.
  4. Respond to guest inquiries and complaints in a caring and courteous manner.
  5. Report incidents, complaints, or safety hazards to the Executive Housekeeper immediately.
  6. Oversee the work of cleaning attendants and housemen, taking corrective action if necessary.

  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
