Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing development applications for heritage places to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Drafting and reviewing local planning policies to support the community.
  • Evaluating Local Planning Scheme amendments to inform decision-making.
  • Conducting land use planning research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinating responses to State planning initiatives to maintain effective communication.
  • Providing expert advice to the public and developers on planning matters.
  • Representing the organization in meetings and inquiries to promote our interests.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Urban or Town Planning to underpin your expertise.
  • Experience in statutory or strategic planning to inform your approach.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to evaluate complex information.
  • A clear and confident communication style to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of planning legislation and processes to inform your decisions.
  • The ability to collaborate and influence respectfully to build strong relationships.
