Disability Support Worker Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual impairment and physical disabilities. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to clients with complex needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and carers, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in disability support.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and empathetic work environment, supporting the goals and aspirations of our clients.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Cert III in Individual Support - Disability or be willing to obtain same through our recognized training organization.
  • Prior experience supporting people with intellectual impairment and physical disability, with a strong focus on advocacy and community development.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to understand and apply inclusive initiatives.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR Certificate, and 100 point identification check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Word, with ability to learn new software applications.

Work Environment:

The successful applicant will work within a service that provides 24/7 care, requiring flexibility to work weekends, sleepovers, and active night shifts within a weekly roster. Our team is committed to providing high-quality support services that promote the dignity and autonomy of our clients.
