About the Role

The Modern Applications Practice at Canon is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead our Microsoft cloud and low-code solutions. This role requires a dynamic individual who can architect, implement, and advise on MS Cloud & Low Code based solutions alongside technical pre-sales.

This is a hybrid role with flexible work from home options and prefers to be based out of Sydney. It reports to the Head of Modern Applications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Microsoft Cloud Applications & Microsoft Low Code solutions (Azure cloud applications suite/Power Platform/Dynamics 365 CE) following Microsoft's best practices.
  • Provide support to Delivery as the primary technical advisor by participating in technical reviews, documentation, and remediation plans throughout all aspects of the software development life cycle.
  • Perform analysis and review of technical solutions pertaining to commercial and architectural components, including ROI, TCO analysis, and forecasting.
  • Engage with customers on a consultative and strategic level to develop strategic plans, roadmaps, and initiatives.
  • Share and present knowledge and experience to the wider Solutions team.
  • Support Sales as the technical representative for CBS by attending and presenting at sales meetings, responding to tenders/RFPs.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and adopt new methods and best practices for CBS' clients.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned consultant with experience in architecting and leading Power Platform / Dynamics 365 implementations while working in an MSP environment. The ideal candidate will have analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, as well as customer-facing experience in consulting roles. Certification in Azure / Power Platform and experience in PCF development are highly desirable. Key skills include:

  • 10+ years' development and architecture experience with Microsoft Cloud applications and platforms and its development tools, including but not limited to: Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, Azure IoT, Azure AI Services (Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, etc.), Azure DevOps.
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, AI Builder).
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Modules (Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Field Services).
  • Familiar and demonstrated experience in Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps.
