Clinical Nurse Consultant: Lead Perinatal Mental Health Expert

Leading high-quality care and support for women at risk of perinatal mental health issues is a critical responsibility for any Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in this field. As a dedicated professional, you will showcase advanced practice knowledge and skills in patient-centred clinical practice specific to Perinatal Mental Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consultation-liaison services for perinatal mental health consumers within the healthcare system, ensuring seamless access to care for vulnerable women.
  • Promote quality and cost-effective nursing and/or midwifery services aligned with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation, and best practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while actively contributing to a collaborative clinical environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A mandatory nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program as a Registered Nurse.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current annual practicing certificate.
  • Possession of context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.
