About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Specialist to join our Telecommunication team.

This is a permanent full-time position based out of our office, but we are open to applications for offices in Wetherhill Park, NSW or West End, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for commercial management of our extensive national supply chain and supports client and supply chain commercial activities.

The role involves:

  • Timely and accurate on-boarding of supply chain, including subcontract preparation and execution, departure preparation and negotiations, pricing setup, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborating with operational teams to meet project demands, prepare scope and procurement strategy, and complete selection and assessment processes.
  • Acting as commercial representative with the supply chain to work through commercial matters.
  • Maintaining a compliant supply chain including contract extensions, insurances, issuing of notices, variations, etc.
  • Maintaining commercial records and registers including notices, insurances, securities.
  • Identifying and resolving compliance issues including SOPA, licensing and levies.
  • Creatng and implementing processes, procedures and tools.
  • Supporting the accurate and effective commercial and contract management of contracts / projects up and down stream.
  • Tracking KPI/SLA performance and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing, reviewing, submitting and monitoring notices including variation / compliance / claims.
  • Supporting the management and resolution of Defects, third party damages and complaints.
  • Supporting pre-contracts activities including contract reviews, risk management, pricing and compliance documentation preparation.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, Law, Business Management or similar with 3+ years' experience working in commercial / legal / contracts administration, ideally in the Telecommunications industry.

You will also possess:

  • A working knowledge of standard forms of subcontracts and mechanisms.
  • Proven commercial acumen: subcontract management / tendering, legal claims, administration, modelling, KPIs, profit improvement.
  • An intermediate / advanced user of Microsoft suite (particularly MS Excel), Sharepoint and JIRA.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
