Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Contracts Manager to spearhead our construction projects.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial principles, with the ability to drive outcomes and foster beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers through proactive communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare and manage subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and identify discrepancies early on.
  • Take ownership of cost control and budget management, providing regular updates to the project team.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing and implementing a request for information (RFI) management process with subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including document control, drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Develop and maintain accurate budgets, identifying key risks and opportunities for best commercial outcomes.
  • Manage and maintain cost control software, including budget entry, commitments, forecasting, variations, payments and coding of invoices.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the project team, highlighting new risks, opportunities and changes.
