Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Manager to oversee the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and guidelines. This role will involve managing and optimising IT contract-related activities, leading the procurement process, and overseeing supplier performance.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution.
  2. Ensure that terms and conditions are aligned with current legislation and policy.
  3. Lead the procurement process, including clarifying requirements, placing, monitoring, and terminating contracts.
  4. Oversee and measure the fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  5. Identify where changes are required, evaluate the impact, and advise stakeholders on the implications and consequences for the business or procurement element of programmes/projects.
  6. Monitor and report on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, and market intelligence.

Skill Requirements

  • Experience in IT Contract management and/or Procurement role across various processes and functions, particularly in government departments.
  • Proven complex procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits, including financial savings.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and develop a team is desirable.
  • Solid expertise in building strong and productive working relationships within teams and with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong influencing skills at senior levels to influence acceptance of a new way of working.
  • Excellent communication, written, and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt these to diverse ranges of stakeholders and contexts.
  • Ability to analyse information and present a clear, accurate summary to various audiences.
