Job Summary:

This role will lead and manage a small team of Inventory and Supply Officers and Storepersons, responsible for managing inventory holdings, receipt, dispatch, and control of third-party and customer property. As an expert practitioner, you'll also contribute at the operational level and be hands-on with warehouse activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Inventory and Warehouse team, overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating warehouse activities across Insitu Pacific sites.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on internal forums and customer meetings related to warehousing and logistics matters.
  • Provide regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts, Supplier Management, Transportation, Warehouse, and Logistics Team to align objectives with the Company's strategic direction.
  • IDentify, develop, implement, and improve tools, systems, processes, procedures, work instructions, and templates, including MILIS or other customer ERP tools and Costpoint.
  • Coordinate tasking related to inventory control, shipment of materiel (including dangerous goods and ITAR), and provide guidance on delivery problem resolution, receipt, material handling, storage, and packaging.
  • Manage warehouse activities, including capacity management, stock categorization, materiel data management, inventory identification, and accountability.
  • Monitor customer allocation and delivery timeframes.
  • Manage tool control, calibration, and compliance.
  • Define performance metric requirements, analyze trends, and take mitigating action to meet performance objectives.
  • Analyze material location and initiate redistribution actions.
  • Manage obsolescence and maintenance requirements relating to stock.
  • Establish and maintain additional warehouse sites or expand existing ones to cater for business growth.
  • Ensure accurate records and systems reflect the status, disposition, and condition of all parts in its care, custody, or control.
  • Coach and develop Inventory Supply Officers and Storepersons.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience in warehouse and inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification or certification in an inventory or logistics discipline and have experience supervising personnel, managing multiple tasks, and meeting critical deadlines.

A strong computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a current manual driver's license are essential. Possession of a forklift operator's license or ability to obtain one is also required.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience, plus attractive benefits and flexible work options, including alternate work patterns, flexible hours, study assistance, and career development support.
