About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable and Payable Officer to join our finance team.

  • Process Invoices and Payments: Accurately process supplier invoices, expenses, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare Supplier Payments: Prepare payments for suppliers, including batch payments, ensuring authorisation and compliance with policies.
  • Resolve Vendor Queries: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any vendor queries that may arise.
  • Liaise with Admin Team: Liaise with the admin team to raise customer invoices in Xero, ensuring accuracy with related systems.
  • Manage Customer Accounts: Reconcile customer accounts, monitor overdue accounts, and follow up professionally with customers.
  • Support Finance Team: Complete month-end routines and assist with reconciliations and reporting as required.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable within an Australian workplace.
  • Completion or near completion of a relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
  • Proficiency in Xero and/or MYOB (Xero preferred).
  • Excellent reconciliation and data entry skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Tenacity and professionalism in following up outstanding accounts.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
