Senior Community Safety and Emergency Management Professional

A strategic role exists within our organisation to develop and coordinate community safety strategies. This position will lead emergency preparedness efforts, collaborate with internal teams, local agencies, and the community.
About the Role- Job Summary
- This Senior Community Safety and Emergency Management Officer will play a vital role in building safer, more resilient communities. They will drive performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement within their team.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in community safety or emergency management. They must demonstrate leadership and team management capabilities, as well as strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities- Develop and oversee community safety services and emergency management activities, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
- Represent the organisation on emergency management committees and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Coordinate Council's emergency response and maintain key plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in community safety or emergency management.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
