**Job Title:** Senior Emergency Response Trainer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering emergency response training programs that meet contractual requirements.

They will also develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices and program implementation.

Additionally, they will support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance and processes are in place to manage ongoing skills and competency maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a background in firefighting and first aid capability to assist with knowledge regarding within the training and assessment requirements.

Familiarity with emergency services and operational excellence practices is also highly desirable.

This role requires experience in training and people management, as well as high-risk and diverse emergency response organizations.

The successful candidate must supply evidence of the following qualifications:

  • PUA50120 Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
  • PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable)
  • PUAFIR205 Respond to aviation incident (specialist)
  • PUAFIR305 Respond to aviation incidents (general)
  • HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification
  • Valid Drivers License

They must also be able to maintain a defence baseline security clearance, as a result the successful incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
