Motel Operations Manager

Gurman and Sons Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Motel Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Albury motel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing reservations, front desk operations, housekeeping, and room service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all facets of reservations, front desk operations, housekeeping, and room service.
  • Monitor and optimize online booking platforms to ensure up-to-date availability.
  • Deliver prompt responses to guest inquiries to enhance the booking experience.
  • Organize and direct day-to-day motel functions, including guest accommodations, meals, and additional services.
  • Coordinating bar, restaurant, event, and conference activities.
  • Ensure compliance with liquor, gaming, and local regulations.
  • Manage accounting, purchasing, and financial operations.
  • Provide local tourism information and assist with travel or tour arrangements for guests.
  • Collaborate with local businesses and tourism operators to offer exclusive packages or experiences for guests.
  • Supervise security measures, property maintenance, and grounds keeping.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high standards of property upkeep.
  • Lead marketing efforts, including managing the motel's online presence, social media, and guest reviews.
  • Compile weekly and monthly property reports.
  • Participate in weekly management team conference calls.

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of motel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, and reservations.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing motels or similar establishments.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, including health and safety, liquor, and gaming laws.
  • A minimum bachelor level qualification is preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and address operational challenges effectively.
