Establish a strong presence in the aged care sector by taking on this esteemed role as an Aged Care Operations Manager at Mercy Aged and Community Care Ltd.

About the Opportunity

This position entails overseeing catering, housekeeping, and laundry services to ensure high standards of care for residents. You will work closely with the Service Manager to achieve these objectives.

  • Lead Meal Preparation and Catering Services: Develop nutritious meal plans that meet health regulations while ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Manage Housekeeping and Laundry Functions: Provide effective services that cater to residents' needs, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
About You

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant qualification and prior experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in a similar environment.
  • The ability to be hands-on in the kitchen and demonstrate leadership skills with proven experience managing teams.
  • Prior experience in menu coordination, recipe development tailored to aged care settings, and working knowledge of OHS and food safety standards.
  • Experience in managing housekeeping and laundry functions, with a background in aged care being desirable.

You will also need to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination, and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
