Airfield Operations Leadership Opportunity

This is a chance to take on a key leadership role in airfield operations. As the Airfield Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and maintaining a safe environment for aircraft operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure that the Airfield Operations team complies with the Airport Manual and relevant regulations.
  • Team Engagement: Foster an environment where the Airfield Safety Officers can excel in their roles.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the team to ensure they are achieving their goals.
  • Staff Safety Awareness: Educate staff on OHS safety risks and ensure they have completed necessary training and use appropriate PPE.
  • Frontline Safety Management: Manage the frontline airside safety team, including rostering and leave management.
  • Budget Management: Support the Head of Airfield in departmental budget management.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing teams in aviation operations.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Aviation or Business Management are desirable.
  • Licence Requirements: Ability to hold a Level 4E Airside Drivers Licence.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound knowledge and understanding of CASA Regulations.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills are essential for this role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and report writing skills are required.
  • Risk Management: Experience in risk management, risk assessment, and change management is beneficial.
