Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Cricket Development Officer to lead the growth and sustainability of cricket within clubs, competitions, and schools across the Wide Bay region.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Australian Cricket Pathway and be able to drive participation across all levels. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and community members.

The role involves building and maintaining a strong community network, introducing new and exciting programs to attract the next generation of players, and supporting and coordinating a team of volunteers and casual staff. While Bundaberg is the preferred location, we are open to flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the growth of cricket in the Wide Bay region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local clubs, competitions, and schools to ensure the delivery of high-quality cricket programs.
  • Drive participation across all levels of the Australian Cricket Pathway, including Cricket Blast and female participation.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for cricket development in the region, including partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cricket development or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Cricket Pathway and cricket development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel across the Wide Bay region as needed.
