Procurement Strategist

This is a rare opportunity to drive reform and innovation across procurement functions at Transport for NSW, one of the largest procuring agencies in the country.
You will lead a team shaping the future of procurement in NSW, driving centre-led procurement operating model development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish enterprise-wide procurement policy frameworks, scalable processes supporting compliance and innovation across goods, services, and construction procurement.
- Design and enhance procurement processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and capability uplift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing NSW Procurement Accreditation for Goods and Services.
- Developing and implementing organisation-wide training programs.
- Aligning procurement frameworks with best practices in category management and contract management.
- Embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance principles into procurement.
- Leading enterprise-level procurement performance reporting.
Requirements include:
- Deep expertise in government procurement regulations and public sector best practices.
- Proven track record in leading procurement policy, governance, and framework initiatives.
- Strong communication and data-driven approach skills.
- Collaborative mindset and experience in public sector or highly regulated environments.
