Job Title: Sydney NSW Warehouse Financial Executive

Estimated Salary: AU$110,000 - AU$140,000 per annum

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance professional to join our team as a Sydney NSW Warehouse Financial Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for financial reporting and performance management of our warehouse sites in New South Wales, including weekly and monthly Profit and Loss (PnL) reporting.

You will establish, improve, and monitor financial processes and controls related to the site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Additionally, you will support the Financial Operations team in improving billing processes and partner with site leadership and Financial Business Partners (FBPs) to drive profitability.

The successful candidate will have a Graduate Qualification in Accounting or equivalent Professional Qualification such as CA/CPA, with 2-5 years' experience in a Finance Analyst role or similar capacity. Previous experience working within the logistics industry (warehousing) would be advantageous, along with expertise in Excel and Performance Management Tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage operational risks, creating and maintaining guardrails to protect the organization against revenue leakages.
  • Monitor and drive actions to ensure the PnL reflects accurate gross profit at the country, entity, product, and customer level.
  • Review Controls related to profitability, identify root cause leading to control ineffectiveness, and drive mitigation plans together with business functions.
  • Review revenue billed and accrued vs estimated revenue and deep dive into any abnormal incidents.
  • Review effectiveness of new platform/process rollouts, conduct on-site reviews, and provide recommendations to address local gaps.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and attention to detail, as well as ability to bridge the gap between operations and finance.
  • Able to work onsite for 3 days per week, covering 3 sites in New South Wales.
  • Must undergo reference checks and pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check, where applicable.
