Job Title: Educator of Distinct Learners
About the Position:
Bathurst High Campus is an inclusive school catering for students from diverse backgrounds.
We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our team as an Educator of Distinct Learners. The successful applicant will have experience teaching students with Emotional Disturbances and Behavioural Difficulties, and a demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate high-quality individualized education plans.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external support agencies to achieve positive student outcomes.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Emotional Disturbances and Behavioural Difficulties, showcasing exceptional classroom teaching practice.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate data-driven Individual Education Plans, focusing on future-oriented strategies to meet the needs of students with challenging behaviors and mental health requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for collaborative work with colleagues, parents, and carers, as well as external support agencies and the wider community to achieve positive student outcomes.
- Proven expertise in classroom management and wellbeing practices, with a commitment to building the capacity of colleagues to promote improved outcomes for students with challenging behaviors.
