Senior Project Manager - Renewable Energy Assets">

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) as part of a rapidly growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

This will require significant project management experience, including that of BESS, to ensure successful delivery of not only this first project but subsequent projects which will include further BESS projects and solar farms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Setting up project governance systems and processes to manage project tasks and timeframes of project teams, external consultants & contractors.">
  • Participating in pre-contracts, commercial and procurement activities for BESS projects, including EPC RFPs, tender management, technical specification negotiations, scope definition and head terms.">
  • Managing the design and execution of all project packages including engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, SCADA and ancillary services.">
  • Ensuring adherence to project implementation plans, identifying issues & bottlenecks, and mitigating impact of project challenges.">
  • Leading end-to-end project delivery including setting up multidisciplinary project teams, onboarding & managing contractors, owner's engineers, NSPs, government authorities, suppliers and 3rd party consultants via active contract management.">
  • Overseeing all construction management activities including progress monitoring, planning & reporting, CAPEX budget control.">
  • Ensuring integration of project & contract management to ensure cohesive project delivery according to contractual terms.">
  • Delivering stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation with government and company stakeholders, such as TransGrid, AEMO, councils, planning, and OEMs to reach grid compliance, capacity levels and availability requirements up to provisional acceptance and hand over.">

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in a technical, engineering or project management field.">
  • Substantial previous experience in project management for the construction of renewable energy and electrical infrastructure assets, including battery energy storage assets (BESS).">
  • Advanced project management skills, preferably with pre-contracts involvement.">
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.">
  • Adept at problem identification and resolution.">
  • Experience with project management related tools.">
  • Experience with HSEQ, risk management and contract management.">
  • An understanding of energy use and energy markets in Australia.">
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.">
  • Proactive with high levels of initiative.">
  • Collaborative team player.">
  • Current driver's licence.">
  • Willingness to travel regionally and interstate.">
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.">
