Job Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance Associate to join our team at Octopus Australia in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be involved in the financial management of development, construction and operating-stage renewable energy assets, assisting in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting, and managing external administrators and advisors.

This is an opportunity to gain wide exposure to various renewable asset investments, funds, and Octopus Australia as a fund manager. The role will report into the Financial Controller.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular management and KPI variance reporting

  • Assisting in preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting (with the support of advisors)
  • Cashflow forecasting and calculating funding requirements
  • Management of external administrators and advisors, to ensure statutory filings are met (including audited financials, tax returns, activity statements, FBT)
