Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Technical Services Engineer to join our elite Technical Services organization. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional analytical skills and customer service to ensure that MongoDB users are successful with our suite of cloud-based application-layer products.

Responsibilities
  • Advise customers on strategies and documented practices for making best use of our cloud products
  • Translate technical concepts and patterns into generalist's terms for our customers, helping them understand, install, and use those applications well
  • Troubleshoot technical problems with these products, and be an advocate for our users' needs, collaborating with the MongoDB product management and development teams on their behalf
  • Document solutions in our knowledge base system, increasing the efficiency of our customers, other team members, and departments throughout MongoDB
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, or other major cloud providers
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems across a variety of environments
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Fluency in a foreign language, especially Spanish, Japanese, or Mandarin
  • Industry certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other related subjects
  • Fundamental understanding of MongoDB, or other databases (for example, Elastic Search, My SQL, Postgres)
  • Previous application support experience
