Portfolio Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to lead the development of detailed portfolio analysis, prepare reports for senior stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a Power BI reporting suite for Portfolio Reporting
  • Work closely with Business Architects and other key roles to create process maps for initiation, governance, and project life-cycle
  • Analyze and refine sizing and scaling tools (MS Excel), ensuring data accuracy
  • Develop and maintain data sets to enable Portfolio View of Change and other analytics for presentation to Portfolio Board
  • Establish and nurture productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting detailed portfolio analysis, including preparation of reports and recommendations to leadership
  • Understanding of financial metrics and regulatory/legal restrictions that may impact portfolios, ideally within a complex, multisite operational environment
  • Ability to provide expert advice to executive leadership to guide decision making
  • Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills to design, develop, implement and maintain analytic reporting tools
  • Experience in establishing and managing document libraries (templates, document control, reports, contracts, correspondence, etc.) that ensure appropriate information storage and rapid retrieval
  • High level analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to analyze, interpret and report data and project outcomes to support effective decision making
  • F formal qualifications in business, economics or accounting would be highly regarded
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management (or progress towards) would also be highly regarded
