Job Title: Advanced Mental Health Clinical Nurse Consultant

 

Clinical Expertise and Leadership

The successful candidate will hold a senior clinical leadership role within the Macarthur Mental Health Youth Team. This position requires a skilled mental health professional with advanced clinical expertise in managing complex cases. As an expert practitioner, you will lead by example and facilitate evidence-based practice within the team.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care management plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and consumer groups to promote high-quality care and services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices and programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Australian Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate.
  • At least 5 years of post-registration experience in a mental health setting.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of guiding and developing junior staff members.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in mental health care.
