About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Nurse Consultant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 14-24 who are navigating serious mental health challenges.

The successful candidate will have expertise in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and will be able to lead and mentor a team of clinicians to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consumers, carers, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Clinical Nurse Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical advice and guidance to clinicians on complex mental health cases;
  • Leading and mentoring a team of clinicians to achieve exceptional patient outcomes;
  • Developing and implementing clinical practice standards and evaluating their effectiveness;
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers and consumer groups to promote quality health care;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience;
  • Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the speciality or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation;
  • An Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
