We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our SME Team at QBE Insurance Group. As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our policies meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate risk for clients, using your expertise to determine the level of risk and develop strategies to mitigate it.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with our services.
- Work collaboratively with the Manager Partnerships team to develop and implement business growth strategies, identifying new opportunities and developing plans to capitalize on them.
- Monitor client and market requirements, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that our policies remain relevant and effective.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Extensive underwriting experience within the insurance industry, preferably in business packages and farm.
- Established customer and broker relationship management and communication skills.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and use it for decision-making.
- Relevant problem-solving and negotiation skills.
