About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product and Underwriting Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane. As part of our new Operating Model, this role will play a critical part in shaping the future of our Technical Solutions team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist the Product and Underwriting Manager in managing the profitability, underwriting, and oversight of our Property and SME Package portfolios.
  • Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, standards, and appetite for SME Package products.
  • Provide technical expertise across all product classes and segments, including SME Package.
  • Build and maintain underwriting capability across the organization.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a technical underwriting role in SME Package.
  • Deep knowledge of SME Package products and exposures, including short-tail and long-tail lines of business.
  • Experience in policy drafting for short-tail and long-tail lines of business.
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable growth in short-tail and long-tail lines of business.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen and decision-making ability.
