Job Opportunity for Mechatronics Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a mechatronics engineer who will design, develop and implement advanced mechatronic systems. The ideal candidate will integrate mechanical, electrical and computer engineering principles to create innovative solutions in automation and robotics.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage mechatronics projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Oversee the upgrade of process line equipment, including electrical and automation equipment
  • Monitor or calibrate automated systems, or system components to maximize efficiency of production
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, microcontrollers and control systems to deliver reliable and high-performance solutions
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure automation systems meet requirements
  • Ensure all mechatronics systems meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Drive innovation in mechatronics design and development, staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Participate in site continuous improvement projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in industrial automation and system design engineering
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills
  • CAD skills - capable of designing simple mechanical components, electrical schematics, and detailing PLC program modifications
  • Strong knowledge base on communication protocols, including OPC-UA, Mod-Bus, ProfiNet, etc.
  • Capable of troubleshooting PLC/OT networks and plant SCADA systems
  • Knowledge in Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron systems is an added advantage
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop algorithms to automate processes is an added advantage
