Job Role Overview

The Marine Park permissions compliance program is a critical aspect of the Great Barrier Reef's management.

This position plays a key role in managing and delivering this program, ensuring effective compliance with Environmental Management Charge (EMC) obligations.

Collaboration with internal and external teams is essential to achieving positive compliance outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reef-wide desktop and field audits, preparing official correspondence, and investigating non-compliance reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with Marine Park permissions and EMC regulations.
  • Accurate collection and reconciliation of revenue from the EMC.
  • Support post-permit requirements and EMC compliance processes, providing advice and education to permit holders.
  • Provide accurate guidance, investigate queries, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient business outcomes.
