Job Title: Project Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant to support the successful delivery of a major ERP transformation project. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and experience with financial modelling and reporting.

About the Role
  • The Project Accountant will be responsible for developing and managing project budgets, ensuring alignment with business cases and funding approvals.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports, including forecasts, actuals, and variance analysis against budget and previous projections.
  • Monitor capital and operating expenditure classifications to ensure accurate accounting treatment in line with accounting standards and internal policy.
  • Support financial input into change requests, scope variations, and project re-baselining activities.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in project accounting, preferably within large-scale ERP implementations, with a strong understanding of capitalisation rules, cost allocation, and accounting standards applicable to IT and transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain complex financial models and provide accurate forecasts, variance analysis, and cost reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic financial insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholder groups.
