We are seeking an experienced professional to lead drilling and blasting operations, leveraging their expertise in managing schedules effectively. This role is ideal for a skilled Shotfirer with strong leadership qualities.

">About the Role">
  • Coordinate and manage teams on a rostered basis, ensuring optimal operational outcomes.
  • Liaise with HR for recruitment processes, offering valuable insights and expertise in selecting the right candidates for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements while providing ample support to drill and blast crews.
  • Plan and deploy equipment, staff, inventory, and resources for efficient project delivery.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage team members to cultivate a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Collaborate closely with the site manager to drive continuous improvement in drilling and blasting operations, championing a safety-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in supervisory roles within blasting/drilling operations, with a current shotfirer ticket.
  • Strong leadership skills in scheduling teams, emphasizing people management skills.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with HR and recruitment processes.
  • Customer relationship development and management skills.
  • Current HR and forklift license, with Shotfirers or Dangerous Goods ticket highly desirable.
  • Preferably have technical service experience within mining operations.
  • Be physically capable of working in an outdoor environment involving prolonged periods of physical activity.
  • Pass National Criminal History Check/SSAN, pre-employment medicals, and Drug and Alcohol screening.
  • Strong communication skills for relationship-building, leadership, and influence.
