Department Lead - Vocational Education and Training
This pivotal role focuses on leading the development and delivery of high-quality vocational education and training (VET) programs. The successful applicant will create meaningful opportunities for students on vocational pathways in years 9 to 12, driving excellence in VET while supporting students through the transition from junior secondary to senior schooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life, setting high standards for student and staff performance.
- Collaborate with department leads to ensure a seamless transition for students from year 7 through to their senior years.
- Design tailored learning programs for young learners, maximising opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships, and traineeships where appropriate.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to leverage established industry partnerships and collaborate closely with other department leads to drive innovation and excellence in vocational education and training.
