About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Financial Performance Analyst to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a critical role in helping our members make the most of their money.
As a Financial Performance Analyst, you'll be responsible for driving monthly analysis on performance and trends, and recommending ways to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and performance. You'll also provide end-to-end corporate finance support across the team, including preparing the annual budget and forecasts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing monthly reporting and budget variance analysis to management.
- Performing high-level and detailed analysis on financial performance.
- Offering financial analysis support and preparing board-level submissions.
- Spearheading the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, offering insightful commentary and analysis.
- Providing end-to-end corporate finance support across the team.

About You
We're looking for someone who is a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You'll need to be able to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's likely you'll tick some of the following boxes:
- You've successfully monitored financial performance and delivered monthly reports within tight timeframes.
- You've demonstrated expertise in preparing financial analyses and board-level submissions.
- You've proven your ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple competing activities efficiently.
- You've ensured compliance with legislative, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- You've assisted in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and statutory financial reporting for large/complex organisations.
- You possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at the senior level.
- You hold a CA/CPA qualification.
- You have expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and financial modelling.
