About the Role

As a strategic analytical professional, you will play a vital role in supporting decision making across various aspects of healthcare strategy. Your key responsibilities will include developing actionable insights to inform business strategies and initiatives, as well as providing analysis on new healthcare funding methods and price changes.

You will be working closely with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality analytical insights and recommendations that drive informed decision making and enhance member and enterprise value.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics techniques such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level and effectively tell the story within the data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing meaningful and actionable insights to support Medibank's healthcare strategies and initiatives
  • Providing analysis on new healthcare funding methods and price changes
  • Monitoring and analyzing benefit outlay and providing targeted commentary and insights
  • Analyzing member risk profiles and providing advice on healthcare interventions
  • Innovating using advanced analytics to deliver business value by leveraging emerging analytical methods such as AI/ML
Requirements

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in mathematics, informatics, economics, statistics, health, analytics or a similar related discipline. They will also possess previous experience working within a mid-large corporate environment in a related role, with demonstrated experience using business intelligence tools to analyze trends and data.
