Job Description

As a key member of our Workers Compensation team, you will be responsible for representing us throughout the conciliation process, determining fair outcomes for workers compensation disputes.

Our ideal candidate will have strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a tertiary qualification in the field of Law, Business or an industry-specific certification. A current and valid driver's license is also required.

  • Prepare for conciliation conferences by conducting pre-conciliation analyses
  • Facilitate courteous and customer-focused engagement with various parties and their representatives to drive fair outcomes
  • Engage with the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) with relation to disputed matters
  • Represent us at conciliation conferences in a professional, informative, and courteous manner
  • Use your interpersonal skills to provide a high-quality customer service to internal customers, injured workers, and legal representatives
  • Settle claims within client service instructions, WorkSafe Victoria legislation, and company guidelines, placing an emphasis on determining a mutually satisfactory resolution
  • Handle your own and support your team's daily workflow to maintain our client service standards
  • Effectively communicate conciliation outcomes and outcomes have been actioned within specified timeframes
Required Skills & Qualifications

We're looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative individual who has:

  • Experience within a Dispute Resolution-based role
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A tertiary qualification in the field of Law, Business, or an industry-specific certification is preferred but not essential
  • A current and valid driver's license
