Research Liaison Officer
This role presents an excellent opportunity to conduct research on issues related to local governments in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a Japanese Government Related Organization based in Sydney, conducting investigations into financial systems and operations of Australia and New Zealand, planning and executing office-hosted events and forums, and coordinating with local governments and relevant organizations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Investigate the financial systems and operations of Australia and New Zealand;
- Plan and execute office-hosted events and forums;
- Coordinate with local governments and relevant organizations;
- Perform interpretation and translation tasks (English to Japanese, Japanese to English);
- Ongoing duties necessary for office operations.
Key Requirements:
- Native level English language ability;
- JLPT Level 1(N1) Japanese fluency;
- Research experience is preferred but not mandatory;
- JET program experience is highly regarded;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Able to conduct thorough investigations and field surveys;
- Able to coordinate and negotiate with administrative agencies;
- Proficiency in using computers (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint).
